MDA’s Jerusalem Station recently hosted some very esteemed visitors – nine social media influencers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Morocco and Bahrain.
During the visit the influencers met MDA employees and volunteers of all ages and religious backgrounds, saw MDA’s state of the art simulation centre where the teams train and learned about the advanced technologies in use at MDA including the “MyMDA” cellular application which simultaneously translates online chat and has the ability to send photos and videos from the scene and much more.
Youssef Mohammed, one of the visitors said: “As the first Bahraini visitor to Magen David Adom, this was an unforgettable experience. I saw Jews and Arabs working side by side in ambulances, in the training and simulation centre and in the Emergency Call Centre. I couldn’t believe that response times are 3-5 minutes and I know this is all thanks to MDA volunteers around Israel in the name of saving lives. The technology in use in MDA’s 101 Emergency Call Centre combined with the “MyMDA” application and other technologies are in use only in Israel. They save lives and I strongly believe they should be in use around the world.”
